The Ciro Angarita Barón Scholarship Fund is an investment in talented students from the Faculty of Law.
It was set up in 2002 in memory of the eminent teacher Ciro Angarita Barón in order to help undergraduate students in the Faculty of Law who financially cannot afford either all of or part of their university fees. Since it was created until the first semester in 2010, the scholarship has been awarded 188 times to 79 students in different years-of-study.
The fund is financed through donations made by alumni, friends, companies, and other members of the university community.
The scholarship is intended for students who fulfil the following characteristics:
- Academic excellence
- Financial need to help them fund their studies
- Undergraduate students from the Faculty of Law
